Transplant Patient Assistance Program (TPAP)

The TIGER Fund coordinates services with medical supply and equipment companies to develop Transplant Patient Assistance Programs (we name it TPAP).

Mission - Make assistance programs readily available to transplant patients by creating coop ventures with service and product suppliers. The program goals include (1) increase organ donor awareness and (2) increase organ donor participation (3) provide discounted pricing to the transplant community. Examples:

My Med Bag was created from the needs of displaced patients after the devastating hurricanes of 2005. The medication emergency bag is a convenient tool for any patient who needs to hold temporary medications and special supplies. A web based locator for lost bags.

The TIGER Fund together with the Verichip Corporation (makers of the only FDA approved patient identification system) and participating physicians have arranged to provide discounted (in some cases free) products and services to transplant patients and organ donors.

Physicians, transplant patients and organ donors are encouraged to review this program and consider enrollment in VeriMed. As an added benefit, this program will generate proceeds which will directly help needy transplant families.
