The following are derived from personal experiences during day-to-day care of a pre-liver transplant patient. It is not intended to be medical advice, these are notes, memories and research, which will be updated. They are presented for several reasons:
1) So much of treatment is personal and individual, and it is hoped others can learn from our experience.
2) Doctors and health care professionals many times forget, do not have the time, or feel other resources are sufficient, to instruct patients and care givers on day-to-day procedures.
3) To help outline and organize your own care pattern.
